Social justice and 
equity in yoga

 Westernization has a tendency to pick apart culture, center money and whiteness. In ways yoga within this system has lost its roots and has contributed to oppression through monetization for the majority.

Alex often bargained cleaning to afford memberships or wellness activities and in the process learned to take up less space from the lack of feeling welcomed. She knows others share their own version of this story deeply.

Yoga should be equitable and an available space for all considering all circumstances of power, privilege and identity. We firmly believe in everyone's opportunity to experience the power of breath, movement, and access to safe spaces.
